PANEL 1: A NYX stands with mouth agape, in horror at what he sees. NARRATION: History is littered with tragedies like this. Tragedies born of good people trying to do the right thing. PANEL 2: The EMPEROR stands between two computer console, looking terrified. From above the consoles project in reverse “THESE NYX WILL HAVE DEMANDED JUSTICE”. NARRATION: Seeking justice without delay, the Nyx had severed command-and-control. EMPERORL Come In! Fleet ops? COME IN! PANEL 3: The EARTH from above with hundreds of satellite cannons. On the Earth below you can see explosions from Brussels and Barcelona. NARRATION: They froze the emergency alert system. Silenced the orbital defense cannons. PANEL 4: A continuation of the previous panel, the edge of the Earth with its satellites, and the broken ring of La Invencible. NARRATION: …guessing that the gears of the state might be deaf to their pleas, they moved to JAM THE WORKS. PANEL 5: A continuation of the previous panel, La Invencible, beat up from the attack, in space. NARRATION: But a machine this rigit cannot survive the halt. IT CAN ONLY BREAK. PANEL 6: From behind La Invencible, we see The Spark of Thought, dinged up by La Invecible’s cannons, but still in one piece, revs up a giant M-Wave at the earth (off panel). NARRATION: And they never guessed — could never have imagined — that they would be greeted by the largest ship in the universe, firing upon a world they’d made defenseless. PANEL 7: The Emperor watching a screen on a console. Behind him strings “nononononononononono” NARRATION: Wiping out Brussels, barcelona, Cairo, and now… PANEL 8: Close in on the Emperor’s face as he watches in horror, light blooming across his face. NARRATION: …Rome. —— Want 5,000 more comics like this? Join us at Patreon.com/sheldoncomics for the *FULL* Sheldon archives, art giveaways, fun community, and more! And huge thanks also to Beth, for the 2+ years of work remastering the Drive archives, and the billion other tasks that went into the new site. And thank YOU for your continued support for Drive on Patreon.com/drive. The story has some fantastic twists and turns ahead, and I can’t wait to share it via this site!

PS: Oh! And I should note: There will of course be bugs here and there — every new site has them. But we’ll iron them out in the days and weeks ahead. 🙂
