PANEL 1: The TRES PRIMOS (Tall, Squat, and Large) surround NANDO, after CAYETANO has walked away. NANDO: Lord. LARGE PRIMO: Yeah, Cayetano’s always been…a lot. PANEL 2: A woman with short, half-shaved hair bursts from the crowd. She wears a dark uniform buttoned low. She wears distinctive glasses and large hoop earrings, and her lips are a dark lipstick. EMILIANA: GENTLEMEN! What a thing to see you after 34 years. TALL PRIMO: Emiliana. PANEL 3: Close up on EMILIANA. EMILIANA: And based on the buffalo grunting I could hear across the hall, I see Caye’s his usual calm, erudite self. PANEL 4: SQUAT PRIMO holds his arm out begrudgingly introducing NANDO to EMILIANA. SQUAT PRIMO: Emiliana, may I present your cousin, Fernando Cruz. EMILIANA: Indeed! FERNANDO. I must admit, your files do you a disservice. You look much older than fifteen years. NANDO: SIXTEEN. PANEL 5: In silhouette, EMILIANA and NANDO face off. EMILIANA: Sixteen! Well my goodness! Someone bring our new Emperor TWO pudding cups! NANDO: “ha ha”. Yeah. Pudding cups. PANEL 6: EMILIANA and NANDO shake hands, but NANDO glares at her. NANDO: Good luck on stage, COUSIN. I’m gonna walk away now before I figure out why everyone avoids you. PANEL 7: In the background EMILIANA looks shocked. SQUAT PRIMO and NANDO walk away, SQUAT PRIMO looks thrilled, NANDO looks nervous. SQUAT PRIMO: WOW! Where’d that come from?!?
