PANEL 1: FILIA holds the glowing staff.
FILIA: Divining a place, to be sure. BUT WITH LIMITATIONS.

PANEL 2: FILIA has placed the staff back on the table, and walks away.
FILIA: It has but modest means to reach out.

PANEL 3: FILIA starts to sit down in his pilot chair, 2 glass screens behind him foot controls on the ground.
FILIA: I suspect it was birthed to be a linchpin in a larger system. On its own, it’s practically inert. But in the embrace of a wider array, IT BECOMES A COMPASS NEEDLE POINTING NORTH.

PANEL 4: FILIA, sitting in his pilot chair, feet on the controls, places his hands on the glass screens.
FILIA: And so, little spirit, —little remarkable spirit — we will build you that system.

PANEL 5: Close up on FILIA’s foot as he pushes a control forward.
FILIA: We will delicately step up your power source, to amplify your strength.

PANEL 6: From outside FILIA’s ship, the ship lays flat on the desert ground.
FILIA, from inside the ship: We will weave a lattice in the ship’s antennae, to widen your reach.

PANEL 7: The ship takes off, sort of like a fish - its wings and ring point down toward the ground. Smoke and dust rise up from below.
FILIA: And we will carry your voice to the ship’s navigation. That you might whisper where to go.

PANEL 8: The sun sets on the desert, clouds swooshing across the sky. The ship heads towards the sun.
FILIA: And across 10,000 years, little spirit — OH HOW YOU’LL SING.
