PANEL 1: Close up on the nose of THE SPARK OF THOUGHT, m-wave blasts peppering the bottom of the ship. NARRATION: On the surface, the devastation to the Spark of Thought was STUNNING. But size is a funny thing. PANEL 2: The view of the SPARK OF THOUGHT has changed to be a little further away, from above. M-Wave blasts continues to pepper the bottom of them , a few of the blasts missing and going past the ship. NARRATION: Sheer, immovable BULK is a shield of its own. Take the sharpest knife you can find and attack a bull elephant with it. SEE HOW FAR YOU GET. PANEL 3: The Spark of Thought from the bottom. The M-Wave continues to pepper the bottom of the ship, but two large m-wave blasts from the center of the ship blast outward, toward Earth. NARRATION: So yes, the surface destruction was INCREDIBLE— but at this pace, the ship would still be viable for another half hour. PANEL 4: A view of the Nyxian ship fleet, the ship in the middle in high-contrast as it gets blasted by an m-wave. NARRATION: The Nyx, however lacked that bulk. In under a minute, they lost five ships. TEN! Fifteen. Without armada transponders, THE SYSTEM FLAGGED THEM AS ENEMIES OF THE EMPIRE. PANEL 5: LOS TRES PRIMOS ship has appear in the fray, a stripe down the center of the smaller ring ship. M-wave blasts surround it. NARRATION: …just as it did for THE MORON’S BANE, which happened to unpinch space four seconds ago. PANEL 6: From inside THE MORON’S BANE, GENN drives the ship, hands gripping the wheel, eyes wide, mouth wide open in a yell. GENN, yelling, words filling the background: JEEZ JEEZ JEEZ JEEZ JEEZ JEEZ JEEZ JEEZ JEEZ JEEZ ——— Want to read the full story?
