PANEL 1: THE CAPTAIN, CAPH (the young Grasskan), ORLA, CUDDOW, NANDO, and CAPTAIN TILL are seated at the table. Snow falls on the other side of a large glass window behind them, an elaborate chandelier of glass balls hangs above them. CAPH speaks to CAPTAIN TILL, looking nervous.

PANEL 3: Close up on CAPH, in awe.
CAPH: So I can live here? With Grasskans?

PANEL 4: Close up on CAPTAIN TILL, with a soft smile.
TILL: If your captain releases you. SHE has ultimate authority over all under her charge.

PANEL 6: We see the table setting, with NANDO leaning his elbow on the table, and SKITTER sitting in front of the table. CAPTAIN TILL raises her glass in a toast.
TILL: Then it’s settled! Today Saseet is made better by the presence of an honest and earnest new citizen. A toast! To Caph!

PANEL 7: CUDDOW holds up his glass, excited. NANDO interrupts quickly, with eyes wide, standing up and grabbing his plate.
CUDDOW: This reminds me of a fillipod saga-poem about a prodigal son who—
NANDO: LET’S CLEAR THE PALTES, SHALL WE?!
