PANEL 1: Extreme close up on the CAPTAIN as she yells. CAPTAIN: WHAT?!? You’re Familiar?!?! But Familia aren’t allowed in the Jinyiwei! PANEL 2: ORLA, holding her hands up defensively, as she explains. ORLA: We’re not. Or else Royal assassinations would go through the roof. PANEL 3: ORLA in shadow in the foreground, a light silhouette of the CAPTAIN, with her hands on her hips, in the background. ORLA: No one ever spotted that I was Familia. …Genetic weirdness, I guess. I didn’t find out until AFTER I was a Jinyiwei agent. PANEL 4: CUDDOW and VINNIE listen as ORLA continues. ORLA: On my first posting, I was having lingering health problems as a result of… well, I was having health problems. PANEL 5: ORLA stands against a stark background, small in frame. ORLA: And my doctor noticed something everyone else had missed in my lineage. PANEL 6: ORLA continues talking while NOSH stands behind her, listening. ORLA: Unsure what to do, she set up a hush-hush meeting with the Planetary Governor. He was Familia, so he’d know what to do. PANEL 7: ORLA continues, squinting as she points. ORLA: But HE was the one who told me to keep it secret. Kept stressing. how key that was. Found out later he even has my doctor posted to some deep-space colony. PANEL 8: The CAPTAIN responds while looking over her should to ORLA in the background. CAPTAIN: But why? Why make it a secret? ORLA: He saw me as someone who could slip between power centers when the time was right. A resource in his plans. PANEL 9: The CAPTAIN continues to look over her shoulder as ORLA turns further away and recedes in to shadow. CAPTAIN: And what were his plans…?
