PANEL 1: MAKER PRIME, a Maker with bandages crossed across his eyes and a cube floating above his head, continues his discussion with THE GUARDIAN, a short maker holding a staff. MAKER PRIME faces the camera, with THE GUARDIAN in silhouette behind him. MAKER PRIME: “…THE CONTINUUM ITSELF.” I’m not in the mood for crass jokes. We’ve already had enough blasphemy against Shen for one month. PANEL 2: THE GUARDIAN replies, holding his staff up. GUARDIAN: No blasphemy here. Do I not carry the staff of Shen himself? I LIVE ONLY IN SERVICE OF HIS VISION. PANEL 3: The two Makers continue their conversation, MAKER PRIME now facing THE GUARDIAN. GUARDIAN: But I IWLL go to Vinnshasha. I have that right, as Keeper: To to where and when I will for the Hall of Spirits. MAKER PRIME: You waste your time on Ahmis’ tricks. PANEL 4: The two continue to talk, MAKER PRIME resigned. GUARDIAN: Perhaps. But this task will take me a few short weeks, at most. MAKER PRIME: sigh Very well. I’ll send two cruisers to escort you. PANEL 5: MAKER PRIME turns around and throws his hands up in frustration. GUARDIAN: No, no. Grant me any small ship with A Circle’s End. I’ve seen your plans: You will need our cruisers at the border. MAKER PRIME: What I NEED is sthe counsel of The Guradian in a time of war! PANEL 6: MAKER PRIME turns to speak over his shoulder at THE GUARDIAN. GURADIAN: You will keep us all safe, Mard. It’s why I put forth your nomination as Maker Prime.
