4000 angry Tesskans could be an awsome force with that ship. Now is the Empire or the Continum more at risk?

I like how, seeing the sheer physical wrath the Tesskans have mustered in the last two strips...it gives you a sense how effective the Veetans must've been in ending the war.
The Veetans give me hope that this will not end as badly as it could.
But seriously, I thought the continuum was SMART; didn't they do ANY research on their various target species before attacking? That's just common sense!
I love the last two strips. Great twist and building good tension.
Super nerd question: how come the Tesskans could understand the maker clearly? Wasn't language what started the fight?
I always felt the Continuum was dumb actually. They haven't even checked to see if anyone knows what it is they want returned. I think that Tesskan must have had a translater which worked better than the guy who kickstarted the breakout.
I feel a bit sorry for the Fillipods. I was hoping that seeing all Tesskans were captured or tossed 30 metres into the air they'd get a chance to have a go at not being an underclass and discriminated against. But if the Tesskan's managed to get the Spark, then the Fillipods are in the exact same situation. Still, storywise it is going to be way more interesting having the Spark be captured by the Tesskans. I'll be interested to see what happens next.
I think the Head Voss there has secret knowledge of where Earth is located, and wants to do to earth what was just done to their planet. He hates the humans, after all.
Well, just because he's on Earth doesn't mean he knows where it is. The captains fly the ships the last way. It's like having a cab drive you while you wear a hood.
I think the Continuum aren't so much dumb or smart as they are arrogant. They're used to being so technologically superior that it didn't occur to them that the Tesskans would be able to do anything except cower like frightened sheep when they were brought aboard.
And, naturally, the Tesskan understood the language on board shp because it was humorously convenient for him to do so. This IS a comic strip, after all ;)
I have to say, I LOLed when the first Tesskan struck off the head of the first Maker. That never gets old.
But he doesn't have the coordinates to GET there. However, the Voss himself may just have the knowledge, passed on from one Voss to the next, in case they ever do have a chance to get revenge.
Or he could head for Veeta, or even the Continuum home planet. He'd LOVE to do to the Makers what they just did to his home world and the Makers, being so snooty, probably DO have the coordinates to their home world in their computer systems.
^^^
The new grand voss is on earth, Emperor Cruz promoted him after Tesskil got cracked by the Spark. The old Grand Voss was on Tesskil. They didn't pass anything down between the two.
Even if the new Voss doesn't have the coordinates I suspect it would be fairly easy for the Tesskans on the Spark to find the new Voss, and have him find out Earth's coordinates from the local library or something (on Earth) and send 'em on over.
This is important. How did that Continuii, this being the approved singular of Continuum, have time to get a sling on before coming to report? Did he say to his compatriots "Hey guys I will run to get help!!! But, first let me stop to put a sling on my arm." Gaping wounds and a modicum of gore would have expressed the ass whooping they are getting from the Tesskans quite well.
The Veetans are from a heavy-gravity world. No mention of extra gravity was made when the ship set down on Tesska. Maybe that's why Veetans can throw Tesskans around like toys?
As far as the language barrier goes go back to this Enciclopedia Xenobiologia on the Makers
http://www.drivecomic.com/archive/090829.html
specifically about the language. It states that approximately 30% of the language translated may be incorrect or lack key subtleties. So while the Maker is interrogating the Tesskans, that is where the subtleties may not come through; especially if the Maker is angry or upset he is not getting the information he wanted. But, when dealing with just strait factual information(like orders) the translator may not need to worry about subtleties, and the Tesskan would understand that.
Just my two cents worth.
They're coming to take me away HA HA! They're coming to take me away HO HO!
Ding Ding Ding! Correct! :)
Well, I would assume that the Tesskans would refrain from picking another fistfight with the Veetans, mind that it was the Tesskans I was reffering to, and that they would crack open Veeta like the Continuum did Tesskil.
