So, the Tesskans on the southern hemisphere bought it, and the Fillipods stand a chance of surviving up in the northern hemisphere. I'm interested to see where this goes.

The "40" looked like "YO" to me. That misread resulted in some serious character development, that I have yet to undo in my head.

So, it looks like they did the same thing that the Machito did to break Nosh out of prison, but on a much bigger scale, and much closer to the ground.

The Air Force's Thunderbirds used to sneak up from behind and break the sound barrier right over the stands at air shows, to a similar, but smaller, effect.

I remember seeing them streak over in formation, and noticing "Hm. No sound. Oh, ****!" right as everything exploded.

Apparently they had to stop doing this when they induced a spectator to have a heart attack. (he survived.)

Can the Tesskans that aren't down south survive the fall from 30 feet up?

And if not, I guess that's the end of the species. Since it says 'every Tesskan alive' I guess the ones that hang around earth as authoritative thugs have come back home for a bit.

Not 30 feet - thirty meters. That's 98 feet.
