Originally, Drive on Saturdays made sense, since that was our "day off" from Sheldon. But Drive is ready to stand on it's own now and no longer needs to be tied to the Sheldon schedule. I wholeheartedly support your decision to switch days.

The bonus strips from the last month were really fun to do. Hope you guys enjoyed 'em!
Having DRIVE on Wednesdays reinforced that I want to move the strip away from Saturday updates. It's a nice weekend treat...but literally *no one* is at their computer on a Saturday. In contrast, I've always liked Thursday as a webcomics reading day, so... BAM: Decision Made. Starting on March 31st, it'll be Thursday updates for DRIVE.
(I'll blog about it repeatedly before and after I make the move...just to remind everyone.)
And thanks again to the game masters at Star Pirates for sponsorin' the site for a month, and making the bonus strips possible: You guys are awesome.
Sweet! I love the idea of a Thursday update! Abominable Charles Christopher on Wednesday, Drive Thursday and Sheldon everyday... It's like a triple whammy of cartoon awesomeness!
I really enjoyed the speedier pace that happened with the twice weekly updates of Drive... I hope you'll find another sponsor for that sort of thing soon.
Sorry to be pedantic, but "literally *no one* is at their computer on a Saturday" is incorrect, as I am at my computer almost every day of the week. If I miss a day, it is because I am late for work during the Monday through Friday workweek. I rarely miss Saturday or Sunday.
For hyperbole, try "hardly *anyone*" or "almost *no one*".
I love both Drive and Sheldon (and a Pug-owner I know at work loves the Oso strips)! For some reason, though, the use of "literally" bugged me enough to post this.
I hate to be a bore, but Drive almost never updated until Sunday on ATT/Yahoo servers.
So we'll have Sheldon M-F, Drive on Thurs, and nothing new over the weekends, right?
Yep!
As an aside, I read some 50-60 webcomics regularly, so a day doesn't go by where I have fewer than 10-20 strips to read across various websites. :) Saturday and Sunday are definitely the low-volume days--Sunday even slower than Saturday--but I'm still at my computer those days.
